• Finnair creates a digital center of excellence to its Tartu office during 2019-2021

    Purpose of the project was to build teams to Finnair Business Services in Tartu that are capable of developing and conducting various activities within the digital service area. Instead of outsourcing the services development and testing activities, IT products ownership, maintenance of different IT systems are done inside Finnair’s own organization. The scope extension project was supported by the European Regional Development Fund via the Enterprise Estonia (EAS) with 195 494 euros.

    The Finnair Group’s multi-location digital teams’ model has been kicked off by starting to provide digital content creation, technical development, quality assurance testing and other IT related services. The digital center of excellence in Tartu focuses on constantly developing the processes and efficiency measures while meeting the quality standards of Finnair Group.
