Summer interns 2026 Summer interns 2026

From interns to colleagues at FBS

Three interns joined the Finance teams in FBS this year to learn more about our different accounting areas and get hands-on experience with the work we do.

During the programme, the interns Ottokar Tamme, Kristofer Robin Maasalu and Mirtel Vokk, had the opportunity to work with different teams and tasks. This was also one of the things they valued most about the internship.

The feedback from the interns was very positive. All three gave the highest rating to their overall internship experience, as well as the tasks, support from mentors and contribution to their professional development.

Ottokar said that working across all four accounting teams gave him a good overview of the accounting process, while Mirtel appreciated getting to know Source to Pay, Order to Cash and Record to Report and seeing financial processes in an international company. For Kristofer Robin, the hands-on projects were the most valuable part of the internship.

From internship to a permanent role

For Ottokar and Kristofer Robin, the internship opened the door to continuing at FBS. Both have since continued working with us as Accounts Payable Accountants.

Their work has naturally changed since their internship. Ottokar has taken on more responsibilities, while Kristofer moved from Order to Cash to Source to Pay team, getting to know two different areas of Finance along the way.

When asked what motivated them to stay, both mentioned the same thing: the people.

For Ottokar, the positive working environment, welcoming colleagues and opportunities to keep learning and developing all played a part. Kristofer Robin also highlighted the flexibility that allows him to continue his studies alongside work.

And what would they tell the next group of interns?

Ottokar’s advice is to not be afraid to ask questions and take every opportunity to learn something new. “Be curious, take initiative and make the most of your internship!” he added. Kristofer encourages future interns to be present, get involved and make the most of the experience. “Be there as much as you can and work along, this makes the intership really interesting and also useful for you,” he said.

Their advice reflects much of what came through in this year’s feedback: get involved, learn from the people around you and use the opportunity to see how different parts of FBS work.
