Finnair’s renewed values were shaped together across the group

Time really does fly by! It was the beginning of September 2025 when we all sat down in our Tartu office with Johanna Koramo, Vice President of Culture and Development, to share our thoughts and ideas about Finnair’s new values.

Workshops like this took place across many different teams in the group to understand what people value the most. It was important that the values wouldn’t just be words on a wall, but something real that reflects how we work together every day.

 

Now, in March 2026, we can finally celebrate the values we shaped together:

Always safe

Safety is the foundation for everything we do. Together, we take care of safety of our customers, colleagues, partners and our operations, creating a safe environment for all of us.

Customer at heart

We work hard to be loved by our customers. We listen closely to our customers and focus on what matters most to them. Every day, we create an experience worth returning to.

Stronger together

We believe progress happens when we move as One Crew. We set bold goals and achieve them together with focus and determination.

By valuing and respecting one another, we grow stronger as a team and create a workplace where everyone belongs.

 

The updated values don’t change our work, but they help name the things we already consider important. They give us a clearer way to explain how we approach safety, customers, and teamwork both inside FBS and when we work with other teams.

For everyday work, the values serve mostly as a reminder of what to prioritise. Whether it’s planning a project, supporting a colleague, or making a customer‑related decision, the values give us something simple to check ourselves against.
