Tips for applying
Update your CV. Check your spelling (twice) and make sure all the details are correct and you have the important facts listed. Not all experience has to be work related, it could be something you did as a volunteer or a school project as well. If it turns out that you have made a mistake in your resume (for example added an incorrect phone number), just email us jobs.fbstartu@finnair.com. Back your CV up with a concise and to-the-point cover letter. Aim for half the length of an A4 and you will be on the right track.
If you make it into the interviews, come there on time. The first meeting is a great opportunity to make a good first impression and show that you are punctual. If something unexpected happens, just keep us informed by calling your recruiter (the numbers of our recruiters can be found at the end of the e-mails sent to you).
Keep your phone muted (unless you have a really cool ringtone that will leave us impressed) while being on the interview. Being disturbed by an incoming call may interrupt your string of thought and make it harder for you to concentrate.
Dress properly and confidently. When you feel comfortable and confident you get to focus on what is truly important – you. The most important thing to remember about the interview is that we want to get to know you, so just be yourself!
What to expect
We practice different ways of recruitment in FBS.
A group interview allows us to meet more candidates in a less stressful setting. The group interviews are a great way to open up without the usual pressure of one-to-one contact with your potential future employer. It allows to introduce yourself through different activities and show your personality while communicating in a group.
An individual interview is more personalized. Be ready to answer questions about your mindset, motivation, skills and future plans. We are interested in what you have to say. We want our company to be joined by people who can see their future with us. Mindset beats previous experience and the right attitude might have a big influence on your career in FBS. Do not hesitate to speak from the heart, because in the end we want you to be in the right place as well.
Depending on the position you are applying to, you might also be asked to complete a recruitment test either prior to or during your interview. But no need to stress, think of it as a good opportunity to get a glimpse of what your tasks will include later, as the tests are based either on job tasks or general knowledge of the field you are striving to work in.
We wish you a successful application journey in FBS!
