Wrapping up FBS Healthy Spring

Each spring, FBS hosts a variety of health-related activities for our employees, aiming to inspire healthier habits and improve overall well-being. This year, we were delighted to see so many employees actively participating once again. The enthusiasm was inspiring and helped to promote a healthy workplace culture.

In March, we focused on mental health by offering tips and activities to help maintain balance and joy in our daily lives. Informative posters by Peaasi.ee encouraged everyone to prioritize their mental well-being. At the end of the month, we organized FBS Health Day to address health risks associated with remote work. After the lecture, employees participated in various physical, mental, and cognitive health tests by Ergonomics Master's students, including hand strength measurements, wrist range of motion assessments, and a quick stress test.

During Healthy Spring, there were two challenges to participate in. Many colleagues joined the Tartu Street Art Walking Tour/Orienteering, exploring hidden corners of Tartu and discovering street art. In May, the Walking Challenge encouraged many to track their steps and compete for prizes, showcasing a determination to move more and lead the ranking.

On May 12th, around 30 runners and walkers represented FBS in the Tartu Forest Marathon, conquering 5, 10, and 21 kilometres in the beautiful Elva forest. In May, we also had the opportunity to hear an insightful lecture from a functional nutrition therapist on the impact of nutrition on mental health, reminding us of the vital connection between what we eat and how we feel. Additionally, a sleep physician's talk on the importance of sleep highlighted how crucial sleep quality is for maintaining optimal physical and mental performance.

We believe these activities help boost physical and mental health, and we are committed to organizing more health events in the future. We thank our employees for their participation and enthusiasm, which make these events successful.
